Baby 32 weeks

Visited my gynae and everything is moving good. Except I overgrown a little - 2kg weight gain since we last met. He was abit concerned until he looked at my overall weight gain. So all is well - Placenta young and healthy, water enough, baby structurally developed - kidney, heart, spinal bone, bladder, liver. Baby already turned, and head is down

Baby weighs 1637g! (average is between 1.5kg to 1.8kg)

Unfortunately baby is in a push-up position, cannot see her little face so no scan photo. Hais. I told lil baby in the morning to cooperate though!

As usual, I forgot all my questions when I see him. Next visit - week 35!

26th weeks

Journey completed 65%! Woke up with a weird feeling that my stomach is the same flatness as pre-pregnancy and were a little freaked out thinking I had lost lil baby. Thank god she kicked in a while to affirm her presence. But then again, she was so active and excitedly turning inside that I had to asked her "做什么!".

In the evening after I am done with what I should and deserve a breather, I think she went to sleep. *facepalm*

My lil girl, knowing what time NOT to disturb your scary mum can be quite a good skill to learn after you come to this world okay. For now, I am glad to feel alive and your life inside me.

Well, preggy symptoms stay with me - acid reflux, nauseous, gas, constipation, very tired yet insomnia, not digesting and no appetite! I guess I am just a normal person; I am sometimes glad about this. But at least sometimes I ate a lil more nowadays, must be body gearing up to see gynae in 2 weeks' time...

Went for my prenatal class #3 - Practical Hands-on Baby Care with Mdm Wong! Super love her man, never seen lecturer who start on time (except one trainer) but she started 13 minutes earlier than stipulated time! OMG. And she super funny, because my hubby was totally amused and LOL in her talk.

And we were super lucky!

• We reached near 1 hour earlier and gotten a parking lot (many many came later and the cars are parked parallel in three rows, we really wonder how they gonna get out of there!),
• a seat on the 1st row corner (the auditorium was overflow, with preggy sitting along the stairs, super poor thing) so we were the third car to get out!
• then when we reached home, we got a parking lot on the 1.5 floor (usually will be at 3rd floor). Small things but all made me feel really blessed!

saw this on FB, though I don't wake up at 3am to ask for chicken wings, I think some husbands out there could be laughing out loud, Mr Gary Cangemi must be one of them, credits to you for this comic!

Had another dream on giving birth! Dreamt that mdm Wong said I need to do C-sec immediately despite the baby was not due yet. And the anaesthesia didn't really work, I can feel the cut on my skin. And after the baby is born, she don't look premature, her cheeks are fat, I even commented that she looked like anpanman! But cute version~ how kawaii. Amazingly I can still stand and carry her home or what after my C-sec?!? All my weird dreams. Dunno how many kids I have given birth already. Of course, the dreams then ended off with some ridiculous weird story line.. Then it's 6+am, a fixed timing I had to wake up daily somehow!

Worn my cotton on black top S size and find it looser than pre-pregnancy, especially the arm area. Mad happy about it. Love my good mood too~ Hope my hubby can feel that good mood~

Baby movement

Observing baby's movement and pretty amused by it. Hahaha. Cheap entertainment.

Sometimes she damn stubborn - a typical teochew nang I called her, absolutely like her papa. Asked her to kick, no kick.

Some people said can see the feet prong! I really wanna know. Hehe. Soon maybe!

24 weeks 4 days

Gynae visit!

Everything okay for me. Pulse, urine test, weight gain. I gain weight. Finger crossed it was because I ate my breakfast! Baby pls grow and take all my weight!

Did asked doc if walking down 40 levels of stairs is okay. Doc said walk slowly okay. Lol. But he said the same as everyone: But you can skip what. Sigh. It's... Complicated. Lol

This is my baby's face! :) she weighs 650g, right smacked in the middle of the average weight of 500-800g that she should be. Heartbeat sounds strong - 156bpm. Water is good, placenta position is okay. It's really a blessing to be so normal for everything that happened in my life.

Saw my two ex-colleagues! Both expecting dragon kids and delivering in 1 mths' time. Wow! Happy for them!

The damn ERP carpark system for TMC don't work? Parking fees $4. Put in complimentary carpark coupon of $3 per entry, paid $3???

Oh.. I think I get it. i think it mean u pay only $3 no matter what your parking fee is. Gosh. I feel so dumb. Wasted my colleague's effort to to pass me the coupon. *embarrassed*

Pregnancy dreams II

They said pregnant lady has the most vivid dreams... it's true...

@3.57am, I woke up startled. In my dreams, I was talking to some people and out of nowhere, there was a woman who suddenly poked my stomach *bewildered*. I woke up instantly. The strange thing was that I could literally felt my heartbeat slowly quickened due to the fright. It turned out that little princess was kicking me -_________-''' and that's the equivalent poke in my stomach in my dreams.

First official leg cramp...

That woke me up at 5.55am... Thank you very much...

I turned and looked at hubby who was so soundly asleep. I decided to settle on my own. I think I am such a good wife *shy* #buaypaiseh

First mrt seat!

*applause* to the kind lady who offered me her seat after glancing at my stomach a few times to confirm if I am really pregnant or just bloated. Lol. Hers was the third seat from the door, not priority!

Priority seat was taken by an uncle who dee gong. Then an old granny took his seat. 2nd seat was a fat lady who dee gong again and keep playing on her Hp.

I don't mind not having a seat at all actually. I am still able to stand. i still feel that I look bloated than fat. I am perfectly fine with those pretending not to see. Or maybe they didn't dee gong. they had bad days, feeling unwell and we never knows. Priority seat shouldn't be restricted to only the ones with stickers. It's a courtesy gesture. We all paid the same amt of train fares afterall.

So I said "it's okay, don't worry" to the lady. She got off two stops later but she kept in mind to let me have the seat before someone horrible snatched it. Ooooooowwww such a nice lady.

My lil princess jumped with joy when I sat down. I am sure she was elated with good kindness still existing in this practical world. Spread the love people!

22 weeks

Today I feel more fatty than preggy:

We went si ma Lu buy some herbs and I made it a point to go pray in temple. :)

my lil happy fruit inside me is getting active at times. She is keeping my mood positive and weight in check (gagging and puke still sometimes). I quite love my body now, not too fat (I still having 0kg weight gain now) while lil one is growing well and healthy. I must be the most fortunate preggy lady!

Just some agony on painful knees, indigestion and itchy torso. Plus gastric juices overflowing every late afternoon til night time = no dinner for me! Other than that, I think I am doing quite well! :)

I just checked and realized I am already in my sixth mth and this is also the last mth in 2nd tri! It's a lil daunting for I have done nothing yet and my supposedly best trimester is going to be over soon. Weight in the morning: 54.6kg measurement: 34"-36"-38" okay I feel like a pear now!!

Pregnancy dreams

If dreams are real, I would have given birth to a few babies by now lol

First nosebleed in my life!

I vaguely read abt it but when it happened, honestly I was a lil freak out.

Anyway followed the tips by googling. At least it stopped. So many surprises during pregnancy!

My lil one at Week 18!

This is what I have been eating for a few lunches...

Not a deliberate choice to detox but frankly this is even more appealing than fish soup! The lil one inside me is a lil health freak haha. My cravings include pasta, fruits, japanese sushi, steamboat as well. Well, occasionally we do binge on Mcdonalds, Long John, pizza. My craving for BK croissantwich has yet to be fulfiled too! Wow, looking at the list, actually my food choice is quite varied.

Not sure if my weighing scale has spoilt but my weigh gain so far is still -1kg. When I went to gynae, I weigh 54+, but at home it's 53+. Super puzzling. Nevertheless, Dr Tham said he is quite happy with my weight gain of 100grams. The waterbag is good, placenta not low, baby is growing at the appropriate size.

My stomach is growing too! Rounder. Bigger sometimes coz I am too bloated. I still look fat than pregnant. I preferred loose clothes but I look so shit. Running out of clothes to wear already. :( I wanna go swimming but no swimwear.

I love the fact that my baby is growing though I am not. I think subconsciously I am really conscious about my weight gain too! Ms lack-of-appetite haunt me from time-to-time. Just monday morning, I suddenly gagged and threw up bile in the morning.

But I am eating more at least - I can now finish the amount I used to eat at one or two meals!

Jia you my lil baby. Grow grow grow!

Baby names

Because of the gender plus I have yet know the Chinese letter required by the family, I can't start thinking abt the names. I have already SOS hubby's da gu who said she need to call back to China to ask, and get them to fax to us. Never know that so dua zong one.

Nevertheless, it's impt to get a English names for the baby. I am thinking that the babies should have our initials somehow - K & Q.

I actually wanted the first kid to have the name "King" something. But if its a female, then no longer possible.

So suddenly I thought since I want 5 kids, the sequence should be like that
- First bb - starts with A (coz 1st kid!)
- 2nd - K,
- 3rd - q,
Our initials
- 4th - j,
- 5th - T.

Then we get royal flush already. Haha

I guess I am still traditional

Just came back from gynae visit! My baby was not cooperative. But doc made a guess to be a princess.

At a split seconds, I was a lil upset. I guess my traditional values steer me towards having a dragon first great grandson for the Tan family and I can achieve non of that. Not dragon, not boy. Especially when ah gong and gwa ma are old already, I must work hard to give them a boy!

Girl is good because they are closer to the family. I know I would love my lil girl and my lil girl will be like me - very family oriented.

So 6 nov we can confirm the gender. Til then it's a girl!

The priority ones!

I was taking the train from yishun to raffles place. This malay lady sitting at the priority seat suddenly took a glance at my stomach. Then she sorta silently heaved a relief and went to lala land thinking that this woman (me) is just fat.

I confessed, I can never tell if someone is fat or pregnant (except for the obvious one of course). Even til now at 4th month I still feel guilty taking the priority seat but I took it nonetheless because I was always feeling unwell. But I looked around me, there were big sized malay auntie in 40s, skinny Chinese auntie in her 50s, uncle reading newspaper and white collar looking so sleepy. Who should take the seat if any one of it is available? Not withstanding availability or ranking of needs, everyone is simply waiting to jump on a seat should there be one. Because everyone pays the same fare, the mentality is why should i give up the seat to you. then Will the person with real needs get the seat?
