Old Hong Kong Cafe

Great way to start the day.

I reached office at 7.41 am! But seriously progress is real
s l o w. I am even considering if I can hit the first train so that I can even go into office earlier!

Heh, saw a recommendation for this place. So off we go tonight when my mum is having her birthday today. Frankly speaking, I feel a lil sad that I couldn't celebrate with her because of some lil problem. to the extent that I cried in office when I was relating to my friends about this through msn. Haha, silly me because when I reached home, they haven't even celebrate. -_-'''

For those with bad sense of direction (like my dear chauffeur) or with a useless iphone gps or even a useless hardcopy street directory, please just find katong mall or use phone internet to go streetdirectory.com. It's just beside Katong Mall.
Quite interesting! They have japanese and Korea restaurant too. Somemore nearby got Stonegrill and lots of tempting food stalls. Hahh.

The cafe we went to opens 24 hr. So for those with milk tea craving can drop by.
We ordered quite 3 side dish, a soup, 2 milk tea and 2 main which my dearest deeply regretted. Hah. Vegetarian sharkfin broth and pork and fish slice congee (nothing fantastic). And cold milk tea which i think is really nice!

This is the hot version! Eeeeks. It's NOT SWEET AT ALL!!! How can milk tea not sweet at all you tell me?
Ooow, my favourite haw gao! Not too bad~
That's my instant noodle with pork chop. Pork chop is crispy and nice. And if you like your noodles very soggy and to very much extent tasteless, perhaps you will like the noodles here.

Yupz, that's the end effect for polishing off the congee and noodles (for me) and the side dishes plus the milk tea.
Whereas me. I felt just nice when I am leaving the restaurant so I bought a peanut and condensed milk toast, a raved bo luo bao and a cup of iced ribena lemon. Heh. my turn to throw in the white towel. deeply regret til now. and my bo luo bao is going to be my breakfast tomorrow!
