Random

Yeah! I am on leave today~ That makes my weekend lengthen by twice!

Been so deprieved lately that I sms mr tan "I DUN CARE" when he refused to let me eat the instant duck noodle at 10 plus last night. I deserve the retribution when I vomit out the noodles, the junkies and the Sungei Rd laksa that I had for lunch.

Speaking of the Sungei Rd laksa, it's nice and inexpensive! Take out a $2 bill and you can have a bowl. I love the taste, as compared to Katong laksa. Recently love those inexpensive and nice food. Take for instance, the ABC food centre at Jalan Bukit Merah. The duck rice, chicken rice, wanton mee and prawn mee are yours for just less than $2.50! The fruit juices are superb! A big glass of it goes for just $1.50. Yummy~ Had yet to try the claypot rice that Huayi is raving (closed in the noon) and the chao siew pao that the fat superman on ch 8 is recommending (queue too long!). When you thought of the price that you can get for such quality, the taste comes naturally heavenly!

And pls pls skipped the food court at Sim Lim Square. At least the first stall selling mini wok. I found a strend of hair buried deeply in my Gong Bao chicken rice after eating 1/4 of it. Great, just threw $4 to a unethical hawker.

Been on a coke-less diet recently. 5 days already, I only drank 2 sip of pepsi. Sis was pondering where I get my fats from, considering the amount of rice when I dine at home and I rarely snack (comparing to my 2 sisters, I snack the least). So gotta see if coke is the culprit. Eeks. I hate dieting because healthy food comes with a price. And I mean it literally. $$. See how much a glass of food juice compared to a can of coke. The price doubles or even triples! See how expensive a bowl of garden salad cost! Yucks, the cost of sales is only what, a few percent of what they are selling!

Of food,

I went to queue for this! DONUT FACTORY! I went to the newly opened branch at Suntec. I thought I reached there pretty early already but the queue was already pretty long. I started queue-ing at about 11.27 and at 12.37 I was sitting in the car taking the photo. So the queue took about 45 mins which is like half of that waiting time at raffles city!

Anyway it's a good way to promote social interaction that there was a tai-tai in front of me and another 2 aunties behind and the donuts bonded them. We started to chat. YES, that includes me. Haha.

Darling queued for the express queue where each person is only entitled to buy 2. The taste was heavenly when you bite into the piping hot donut with the melted dark + white chocolate dripping into your mouth! Owwwww. Brought the set home and the taste is not that bad after 3 hours.

We left 2 in the fridge for 2 days but I dun really like that already. The white chocolate hardens and the inner dark chocolate coiled together sitting in the center of the dough. Maybe it will be better after microwaved?
