I so wanna cook like a good wife. I got so bored of outside food and really hope to cook like a masterchef. The hateful thing is that ingredients go bad and it's so hard to store food like a chipmunk!
Nevertheless, I still cook sometimes. Thankfully my hubby is always so enthusiastically wanting to go buy stuff. So I can ask him to help me pick up the ingredients I want. I prefer to go on my own, but I really take a long time to choose and decide, and in the end, give up. And I am a conservative person when it comes to cooking, I quite hate garlic, onions and spices. I like it simple. That limits my cooking alot!
I can sense his desire to whip up a meal for me. But I still think i am a better cook, hehehehe, just lazy only.
Here's our recent meal:
Hehehe cheat one because we use this marinade we gotten from some korean supermart near Goldenmile. It's seriously not bad. I used Happycall pan and even cook it longer so that it had a bit of chargrill effect. And I have mastered my homestyle omeletter and sunny-side up too~ *a pat on my shoulder*.
The cheat one bulgogi sauce (cheap too, only $3? I think):
Here's my comfort chicken thigh porridge. Still can't master the taste of my mum. Sigh. And I think my hubby don't really appreciate this. My sisters and I love it!
See my perfect mummy-type omelette, getting ready for my mee sua soup one day.
Other things I tried and quite successful:
- Loh bah - seriously not bad one, recipe from noobcook website, simple and easy!
- Basil leaf minced pork with rice
- Mee sua/bee hoon soup
- Beef goulash
- Fried bee hoon with curry chap chai
- Grilled chicken wings
- Lala soup
- Herbal prawns
- Cookies
- Ji dan gao
- Melted moments
eh, I love chinese food more than anything and love rice with meat and egg. haha. I need to learn more for my lil kids~
