Halloween outdate!

Supposed to be on a retreat and so ya, this is pretyped post-dated. I personally love to read blogs but often people don't update as often. So here you go, in case you are looking for a dining location tonight. This can be a good choice.

Tampopo Japanese Restaurant

SD Food advisor: "This home-styled restaurant adjoining Liang Court 's Meida Ya supermarket will surprise you with comforting, tasty pork bone soup ramen and crispy, juicy tonkatsu. One place that you definitely will not regret trying, Tampopo lives up to its ideal of authentic yet trendy Japanese food.."

Was a random choice to stuff our hungry stomach. So no homework or research before we jumped into the queue.
It was crowded but we got a seat immediately because we don't mind the counter. Good choice I must say! Although I had NEVER been to JAPAN, I felt immersed in the jap culture with the counter ambience, the japanese curtain, and two japanese guys seated on our either side.
See the japanese guy behind me! Got the FEELING boh?!? hahah

SShhhhs: I been to this reputable sushi branch but I felt as if I am eating sushi in HongKong because the chef (open concept) was shouting across to each other in cantonese.

Green tea was served. And they took the order using PDAs! so high-tech nowadays.
This belong to my boy. Maybe it's nice but once you see mine, this is NOTHING. haha.
Our salmon that cost $10.90++ with nothing spectacular to mention.

*roll drums*

THIS IS A MUST EAT! I strongly recommend~ That's the right kind of flavour I been searching for. The noodles is of the right thickness and the soup rich enough (cooked for 2 days) with a bit of spice (bearable).
My only complaint is probably the limited ingredients - only pork, bamboo shoots and veggies. Actually I don't really fancy bamboo shoots.

The pork loin looks pretty delectable! Cripsy-looking with a nice color. Definitely my choice if I had a chance to visit that place again. Of course this is all my own opinion and the food may not be your liking. "One man's meat may be another's poison" BUT this is definitely my meat!!

The chef was very nice to come out and have a chat with us. I think this is very sweet of him despite the restaurant was very packed. (We went on peak hours in the evening.) This restaurant melted my picky boy. In case anyone miss his face:
