Disaster baking with a good pillow!

It looks yummy isn't it! Been wanting to bake it coz I couldn't resist chocolate chips and crunchy cookies. So tomorrow seems to be a good day to meet the guinea pigs for cookies, especially my colleague will be in office and I am meeting my darlings. So I followed the recipe from the website. The murphy's law sets in.

1) I was making sure all ingredients are ready and they were. Butter, check. Sugar, check. Brown sugar, check, even baking power and vanilla essence, check. Then half-way through, I opened the fridge and omg, no eggs! Such a simple ingredients that was supposedly easily available! Had to beg my mum to borrow from my neighbour.

2) After making my first set, I conclude it's a FLOP! Being a lazy not-the-kind-who-loves-baking person, I conveniently used the self-raising flour (which I bought the other time for muffins). Big mistake because according to Joyofbaking.com, they are different, with different % of protein and the latter includes baking powder. Which means in my dough there are twice the amount of baking powder!

So baking is not joyous after all.

Something happy: went to Woodlands causeway points to buy my mum a new set of bedsheet, quilt cover and quilt for her new bed and mattress delivered tomorrow. I bought myself a new pillow! Jean Perry's (which according to mr xx is a not bad brand). Somemore it's a hotel kind, fluffy fluffy! Got 40% discount!I am gonna dump the seahorse memory pillow tonight~

Oh, my mummy bought the bedsheet for half the price! A set of queen fitted sheet and a quilt cover (of course got pillow case)for just $120 over. Sounds like a good deal to me. Quite a fair deals of discount and stamps exchange at John little at Woodlands!

Baking is an exact science. Nice deal you got there for the beddings. Been looking for quilt cover sets, myself.
