My Secondary School teacher!

Just realise I set my time to be -8.00 for my blog, no wonder the time looks absolutely wrong!

Oh, back to the topic! I found my sec 1 form teacher the other day! It's nothing exciting you might think but to us it is! Cos he is not the "normal" form teacher. Not that he have three heads or six limbs. Here's his friendster link >>> click here.. Dearest 1G, do add him ya!

For one thing, he is a judo expert! How many of you have a Judo expert as your teachers?? *brimming with pride*

Quote from WomenOf.com:
"Patrick Mascoe is a former International Judo Champion and former Technical Advisor for the Singapore National Judo Team. Presently, he works as a school teacher in Ottawa, Canada, and travels throughout North America conducting women's self-defense and safety seminars."

And the best thing about him is that he doesn't care about admin work! I remember everytime we had our nails and uniform checks, he will walk down the class and said smiling, "Checked, class dismiss". It just meant that time can be spent on more important things in life. And this is one of the important lesson he taught us.

He has his own way to get things done in the shortest time. For instance, on the very first day in class, he made us line up according to our index no and we are seated according to that. This seating arrangement follow us for the entire year and surprisingly we have no complaints! Oh well, some of us do but we din really complain to him ya? Maybe we were still young and dumb at that time! The first 3 person on the index roll + the oldest person had some role to perform, as a prefect or class monitor (I am glad he choose this way because I am No. 17!). He gave us names that he find easier to pronounce to facilitate communication. Not that bad actually cos mine is "Lin", my surname. So the class were well-organised under his care. Well, he has his way to tame these monkeys.

He laid a good foundation for my English! Else, I doubt I can even phrase a sentence nicely. Haha. I can still remember some of the literature titles and the morals behind the stories, like the Steadfast Tin Soldier and The Picture of Durian Gay Dorian Gray. Guess my only regret is not learning more things (e.g. Judo) from him!

After several years on the missing list, I chanced upon his website after yahoo-ing about it. Can't access the website already. Nevertheless, I managed to link up with him! Surprising huh! Here are some of his recent photos he emailed me:

Seriously, I don't have everyone's email. To update you guys, he is still the very same JP Mascoe we know. Just email me to get the email k? Hope he can come back to Singapore and we can have a reunion!
